This website is a cooperative venture, representing the Brown County Historical Commission, the Brown County Historical Society, the Brown County Museum of History, Inc., and the Blanket Historical Museum. A great place to learn more about Bangs and all of Brown County.


Years before establishing this Texans Incorporated website I made tvlamps.net.  The site is all about mid-century TV lamps, and includes history and collector information.

Handbook of Texas Online: Samuel Bangs

This is the online version of the original Handbook of Texas, first published in book form in 1952. It is a comprehensive encyclopedia of Texas history and geography, with this link pointing to the page pertaining to Samuel Bangs.

Bangs Independent School District

The official site of the BISD, Home of the Dragons. A look at the "Maintenance and Transportation" page shows a recent photo of the Texans Inc. facility, which is now owned by the school district.
